That’s funny, some friends told us about the Peter and Jane exhibition (how that dates us) and we were all planning to visit (before I found a property in battle) over the upcoming half-term. So pleased to hear it won’t disappoint.
Great to hear I can be a ‘boye’ too-I am very much into joining and getting involved-will be cutting my work hours from a very busty deputy head teacher of a huge secondary school so should have lots of time.
I love hearing about it all so keep any info coming.
I heard there was a big superstore near Eastbourne or Hastings-is that right?

It all sounds really hopeful in any case. Bexhill seems to be on the doorstep. The Battle Bonfire Boyes sounds interesting if not a tad sexist-what do the wenches do? I have spent a great hour on the site you recommended, Jane and wish I were visiting tomorrow and din’t have to wait for Saturday. I will post how it turns out on this excellent site.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Jane! I found this really reassuring and sort of whaty I suspected from trawling any website that had info on Battle. We have an offer on our house in North London finally and are viewing some properties in or around Battle this Saturday 31st Jan and I thought it looked a good place. My husband will be retiring with the move but I still intend to do a few days supply teaching. if there is anything else-just feel free to comment.

Hi, we are relicating to East Sussex from North London. Empty nesters now. Looking at Robertsbridg, Wadhurst, Groombridge this weekend-although not huge choice atm. We want to spend around £600k but if we could get detached, 3 beds for less-that’d be great. We really need advice about the area though. sally_ann1959@hotmail.com
