Norwich is a lovely place with lots of schools etc. Are you looking for nurseries or a part time or full time nanny? I hope you will be very happy here. Are you going to be living in the centre of Norwich or outside?

Good morning, Abdullah. I hope you and your family will be happy in Norfolk. Norwich is a lovely city. I assume you will be at the UEA for your studies? There are some lovely roads round there and also if you want to go a bit further into the centre of Norwich there is a part called “the golden triangle” these roads are very popular and close to the city centre and not at all far from the University. There are good buses. There are also good schools in the area so this may be useful as well for your children. Hope this helps.

We have lived in Norfolk for 25 years and have 4 children. We have lived in various places in Norfolk but the last has been the best with children. 3 of them have been to school in Norwich and have taken the local train-sheringham line. This takes 30 minutes from where we are (Gunton) and they have obviously used it at weekends and late nights (though the last train is at 10.45). Aylsham is lovely as Mark says and there are buses from there into Norwich. One of the schools has their own mini buses and pick up all over Norfolk but most of the schools you have to rely on public transport/driving them in. Hope this helps and please do ask if you want to know more about schools etc.

I have a son who is at The Norwich School and it has suited him. He went in year 9 (and is now in year 11) and was at a prep school(day and boarding) called Beeston Hall which is fantastic as well. He slotted in and made friends very quickly. Beeston takes them from 7 -12/13. There is also the junior part of the Norwich school where they can start at 7. There is also Greshams pre prep which takes then from younger as Kay mentioned. depends where you live. There is also Thorpe House /Langley /Taverham and several other alternatives. If you want to ring me to discuss please let me know. we have found it a very happy friendly school but it is academic and they do expect the results. Another point to bear in mind is that Greshams is now doing the IB rather than A levels as from 2015 but still worth looking at, it seems to be a good school and again gets the results. Norfolk is wonderful!
