Hi there, for many years I have been helping families like yours in this area. From your initial message I am not sure what you are trying to achieve ie the ‘country’ living or a town. A lot of this search will depend on schooling for your young – are you going down the private route or state. If the later being close to Stratford upon Avon would be a big plus due to the very good grammar schools both boys and girls. Stratford upon Avon would also give you the Cosmopolitan feel you would like.
If I can be of help get in touch

    Dear Karine,
I have been helping people move into this area for the last 6 years. I suggest you look just outside of the Cotswolds in towns like Shipston on Stour (In the Times’s top ten places to live!) in South Warwickshire / North Oxfordshire – you will get much more for your money. Very good large villages like Tysoe, Brailes, Ilmington. I suggest you keep West / South of the M40 and away from HS2.
Do get in touch for further info if required – hope this helps
    Good luck with search

A lot of the areas mentioned are expensive – not only the house but also the commute!
You must think hard about this. What do you need in a house, budget?

Banbury to Marylebone on the Chiltern Line is a good bet. If you require help this is what I do daily. See

If anyone needs help finding a house in this area then get in touch. I have just found a house for a client that is not on the open market within 5 miles of Bicester. Also looking for another house up to £2.5m for another client just further north around Brackley – Any ideas?
