Hi Sally-ann, just seen your posting. Wadhurst is a really great place to live, especially for families, with it’s choice of local shops, and having a main line train station too. It’s not too far from Tunbridge Wells either (about 10 mins in the car). The high street in Wadhurst can get quite busy during the day and so if you need to access Tunbridge Wells on a daily basis, my advice would be to live the station side of Wadhurst. From a property perspective, you do get more house for your money than in Tunbridge Wells, but the commute to London is slightly longer. If you would like to chat through the other pros and cons, please do get in touch. I’ve been helping families to move to this area (including Groombridge) for 7 years and so can give you honest, independent feedback e: fiona@fionapenny.com

Hello Fiona, we are also thinking of moving to Wadhurts in the next months. Can you let me know if the town has changed (I can see Sally’s question was from 2014).
We are a family of 4 (4 months and 3 years old). We would like to find a good place for our girls to grow up! Thank you! 🙂

    Hello Margherita,

We live about 30 minutes from Wadhurst, in a twee vibrant Village setting with lots of activities for both parents and children. In 25 acres within a private residential community of great neighbours, and young children. I could write volumes about idyllic country life, yoga classes, organic farms, country pubs, our local choirs, Artie classes, local exhibitions, and farmers markets. all within 1 hour from door to door to Victoria and London Bridge stations. If you like to extend your area to the next Village on the hit list I will give you detailed information on our local Village and Town, schools are excellent and situated in the heart of Ashdown Forest in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Get back in touch if you would like to come visit,
    Helena

I have been enticed by a move to Forest Row for the community and lifestyle and after investigating Hoathly Hill I would love to know more! I am new to this website and couldn’t find your e- mail address on the website but I will endeavour to contact you .
    Many thanks,
