    Hello everyone!

My name is Michael and soon my family and I will be moving to Gillingham! I currently have a sister due to start Year 7 this September and a brother due to start 6th Form then as well.

I currently live in London and my sister was set for a good school and thus did not take part in the 11+ exams – she is very talented and is on course to sit her GCSE Maths next year, this is why I wanted to ensure she got into a Grammar school so she can achieve or even exceed her potential without my help. After getting in contact with the Medway Council it seems she will have to go to a non-grammar school until a place at a Grammar School becomes available, this is something I expected as they are always in great demand.

I wanted to ask you to recommend some good non-grammar schools in the area – I will be living near the Gills’ stadium 😀

I look forward to your replies!

You may already have looked on here but someone suggested this option –

    Hello Michael

Please take a look at our School Guide website:

We built School Guide for parents and it’s free to use. The site puts essential information on almost 30,000 English schools at your fingertips and data is presented in a easy to read visual format.

You can search for schools in the areas you are considering and compare all the information in local league tables. If there is a school you are interested in getting feedback from other pupils or parents on you can also add questions or comments via our Have Your Say forum.

    I hope that helps.

You can email me if you have any questions.

    Good luck with your search

I’m sorry Michael, I can’t help directly with Gillingham as we are further into West Kent and I just don’t know anything about the schools in Gillingham, but you may find this website useful – Peter is an invaluable source of information on the Kent Education scene. Hope the move goes well!
