Hi, Merriott is a lovely big village, it has a good village school, good grocery shops and butchers, pubs and fish and chip shop! there are loads of country walks and close proximety to Yeovil and Taunton. I run an estate agents and have property for sale and rent in Merriott and surrounds if you are interested.

    Dear Anna,

I have just moved to Merriott with my family (partner and 16 mnth old boy) from South London. We spent nearly two years looking for the right village in the somerset area.

    Merriott ticked all the boxes.

A pre- and first school of a village size, but with excellent ofsted reports. A shop- pub and a garage.

It has that old village feel, but within ready access of main towns – nearest town is crew kerne (supermarkets) yeovil is also about 8 miles away – for bigger stuff – larger shops – B&Q sort of things

The immediate and surrounding are is perfect for children and those that enjoy ‘the great outdoors’

The dorset coast is just about 15 miles away and plenty of National trust areas as well as walks in woods and glastonbury is just up the road…..

If you wish to know more, please ask and my partner will email you!

Thank you both for your advice, it’s very reassuring to hear. We have had on offer accepted on a house and will hopefully be moving to Merriott in December, we are really looking forward to it.
