    Hello everyone,

We’re looking to move to East Sussex (within striking distance of Wadhurst) or just over the border into Kent. We’re interested in a house which is on the outskirts of Burwash Weald, set back from the A265. Can anyone tell me what the village/s is like for children and (perhaps most crucially) just how busy the A265 is?

    Thanks so much,

    Hi Nathalie

Whilst being principally known for its pretty High Street, Burwash has a very active primary school as well as a childrens oplayground on the edge of the playing fields (also a good village shop) so is family friendly (Heathfield is the nearest town – not as pretty but very cosmopolitan and lots of shopping choice). A265 is busy but Burwash Weald is a 40mph limit which keeps traffic to a relatively low and constant speed (has a garage as well!).

Thanks so much Colin, really appreciate the input. We’re looking forward to exploring the area more thoroughly next week – it’s great to know there’s a playground in the village.
