Kent Countryside

Why Choose Kent?

Kent is a county that offers you scenic countryside and wonderful coastlines as well as easy trips back to London and equally easy a quick jaunt to France.

Kent is full of history with numerous castles and Cathedrals but it combines it's historical charms with buzzy towns and cities.  This county has a spectacular coastline and there are some wonderful seaside towns to live and work. Folkestone is up and coming and has an exciting town centre, breath-taking views, and prices still reasonable.

If villages are top of your radar, Kent is home to some of the prettiest and often they appear in articles as the best places to live.  There are many hidden gems like market towns, picturesque villages and hidden hamlets.

Kent-- Things to Watch Out For

Kent is one of few counties with Grammar Schools.  Recently Sevenoaks received approval to open an extension of Tonbridge Grammar which caused a lot of pressure in the media.  Grammar schools are extremely competitive as are all the schools in Kent.  Be extremely wary of moving to an area exclusively for one school.  Make sure you have a back up plan.
