We’re relocating at the end of the year from London to the small hamlet of Bushton in North Wiltshire. My 8 year old son currently plays in a wind band and enjoys various music groups around south west London. Does anybody know of any good brass teachers in north Wiltshire?

We’re hoping our boys will go to Broad Hinton Primary and I think they will help with this too, but it’s always good to get inside information.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Danielle,

I don’t have any specific names for you, but I do know that the Albourne Brass Band is one of the strongest in the area. They are likely to have some good suggestions, and also have a training band if he decides that that type of group is good fun.

The Devizes Eisteddfod is a really well-respected event, and they may also have some good contacts for you.

If you run up dry, I know a number of musicians in the area whom I could ask for more specific recommendations, but these are probably good starting places to learn more about the Wiltshire scene in general.

    Hi Danielle
You might also like to contact the Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford on Avon. They should be able to give you some good contacts.
    Good luck!
