I am looking at buying a house in Bicester later this year. I will need to commute to and from London Marylebone 3 times per week (wed-fri), could anyone tell me how busy the trains are and if it’s possible to get a seat? Ideally I would like to spend the commuting time working and not have to stand.

Hi Craig, I know the trains were getting very busy from Oxford Parkway onwards because this has been mentioned in the local press, however I also heard the railway company was going to address this with longer trains. Not sure how things currently stand with that, but I do hear good things generally about this service and its reliability compared to the other line. Sorry I can’t be more help but as no one had replied I thought I would share what little I do know, living and working in the area myself. Maybe do a search on the local Oxfordshire news sites (Oxford Mail, Herald etc.)and the message boards to get a better sense of the passenger experience.
