We are both Londoners, and we’ve talked about moving out of London “one day” for many years, but we have been building up a business and bringing up children in London instead! If we were to move out we would need easy access to North London for our friends and family – and also for our business which we would drive to once/twice a week in North West London. I have family in Bucks – near Winslow/Stewkley, so to be near them would be great, but we don’t want to live in a village, we’re interested in the towns.

We are looking for beautiful surroundings and a quieter lifestyle – BUT – the community would have to be really appealing to want to make the move, or we might not want to… I’m imagining cool, independent shops, arty, yoga, creative community, coffee culture. Nothing too old/full of retirees… Londoner mentality to diversity, multiculturalism and inclusivity. We were in Leamington Spa this weekend and it was lovely – but way too far away.

Can anyone recommend a town in Bucks not further than a 1 hour drive away from North – North/West London?

Also – we have an 11 and 14 year old and would be looking for a well respected private, mixed secondary school (not necessarily academically selective).

    Thank you :)

I live in a village 10 minutes from Winslow and we have quit a few private school in this area. A little further out from Winslow but Thame is nice? Not sure on the commute though. Good luck!
