Sproxton is an attractive village amidst the Vale of Belvoir's rolling farmland located almost equidistant in a triangle between the Market Towns of Grantham to the north, Melton Mowbray to the west and Oakham to the south. 

With super-fast broadband and an active community, Sproxton supports The Crown Inn, a public house/restaurant, a cricket club, parish church and village hall. Primary education is in the neighbouring village of Buckminster, whilst the area in general is blessed with its choice of education.

We are amazingly blessed living 10 minutes from the A1 in so are a very good supper/overnight half way stay for people driving from Scotland to London and vice versa so I always have a freezer full of goodies to feed the tired travellers! 
 
We gutted the house from top to bottom re-wiring, re-plumbing etc and used all local craftsman including a lovely man in the village who made all the double glazed sash windows. 
 
Dog walking is superb and if you are out walking on a Thursday afternoon you tend to see the wonderful spectacle of the hounds racing across the fields.

Grantham has direct East Coast Mainline commuter services to London Kings Cross from 64 minutes. Melton Mowbray is the self-styled ‘Food Capital of England’ with hourly rail connections to Birmingham, Leicester, Peterborough and Cambridge on the Midlands Cross Country Birmingham Airport to Stansted Airport line.

Transport|Schools

Primary education is in the neighbouring village of Buckminster, whilst the area in general is blessed with its choice of education. Witham Hall, BroSaveoke Priory and Grantham Prep, as well as Stamford, Oakham and The King’s School or Kesteven & Grantham Girls’ School among others, are all within a 20 mile radius.
